I was tempted to make the above headline something like “What These Three Million French Protesters Did Will Restore Your Faith In Humanity.” I’m not doing it for two reasons. One: WhatsTrending.com has not yet gone full Upworthy. Two: I’m not sure anything could achieve that amorphous, impossible goal after recent events.

That being said, what this video will do is show you one of those true, passionate, humanistic moments we often lose sight of among all the inhumanity.

Here’s YouTube user Lam Hua’s description of this video:

“As no one could advance, my neighbor opened her windows and started to play classic tunes, to the delight of the audience. A great moment.”

John Lennon’s “Imagine” is one of those songs that’s most frequently played in tragic times. Though its sentiments are of a beautiful world, we most often hear it when we’re sad, because something awful has just happened, and we know we won’t see that dream come to fruition.

But, it’s a moment. And it’s beautiful. And we should still appreciate it, even if it’s only happening in the midst of darkness and tragedy.
