YouTuber Remi Cruz’s fan base has begun slut-shaming her after she lost over 65 pounds.
Remi Cruz, who goes by Miss Remi Ashten, has over 2.4M subscribers and has been making videos on YouTube for over six years.
But something has changed dramatically for her in the past year. Remi has been on a weight loss journey, that has taken her from a size 14 to a size 6.
But instead of love, she claims she’s gotten a lot of hate, saying “It’s something i’ve been dealing with…left me confused”.
Remi says she very proud of her weight loss and says she’s never been happier, but she noticed that while she was doing the exact same dance moves and silly poses that she’s always done, the comments shifted drastically after her body size changed.
Remi conducted an experiment where she took the same photo as fellow YouTuber Alissa violet, where the comments were supportive, and saw that her followers left a lot of negative, hateful comments.
In the video, her friend offered his take, saying “I think it comes back to you not “fitting the mold”, and Remi ultimately comes to this inspirational conclusion: “Work on your own happiness because that’s the only thing you have control over”.

However, despite the haters, Remi has a lot of supportive fans, who left positive comments of her honest video.
