Happy Channukah: Here Are Some Amazing DIY Menorahs!

Happy Hanukkah everybody! Jews all over are celebrating the festival of lights when the mighty Macabees experienced a miracle when was one may have thought would have been a mere one night of oil turned into a full eight days, and today we celebrate those full eight days with an ingestion of latkes, a playing of dreidle and a trading of delicious chocolate coins as we play said dreidle.

And of course, there’s the menorah. In order to celebrate this festival of lights, this miracle with the oil, we make our own little eight days of lights, lighting a candle for each and every night on the menorah until on the final day all eight candles are burning bright.

But even though this is a holiday with strong religious and historic connotations for the Jewish people, doesn’t mean you can’t have a little fun with the whole evening! We here at What’s Trending have amassed our favorite menorahs we’ve found from the wasteland of the internet. What a miracle! When we thought we only had enough content for one entry, we had content for eight! Miracle!

The menorahs include the Menorahsaurus Rex, the Menobster, the Snail Menorah and, if you’re a disgusting digital futirst type, how about an iMenorah app for your phone?

There are even some DIY Menorahs! Check them out in the video above, and be thrilled and agog at some of the more inventive menorahs. So go fry some latkes, fire up the Rugrats Channukah special, you know, the one where Grandpa Boris fights with his rival on the stage and Tommy imagines he’s a maccabee but he calls it a Macababy because look — he’s a baby. He doesn’t know any better.

In any case, we hope you have a Happy Hanukkah! Why don’t you tell us your favorite menorah in the comments, or let us know on Twitter at @WhatsTrending.
