The next viral 11-year-old sensation is here and it contains 0% yodeling. Alaya High, aka “Lay Lay”, is a freestyling 11-year-old, who is absolute fire while in the car with her dad. Since posting her first raps, a three-part series on her Instagram on May 15, the Georgia pre-teen’s videos have been viewed millions of times and been shared on outlets like HelloGiggles and The Shade Room.

She’s being referred to as the “New Yodeling Kid,” referring to 11-year-old Mason Ramsey who has been all over the place since going viral in April. Lay Lay, however, just graduated fifth grade and is ready to take away the crown. On June 1, she posted her second freestyle compilation on Instagram to exclamations from fans like: “Baby you got talent!” and “Shawty hard as f*ck”.

Though she’s new to Instagram, Lay Lay has apparently been freestyling most of her life. A video on the YouTube channel Fresh Rebel shows her rapping at only 5 years old.

In an interview with V103 in Atlanta, she says she got her skills from her dad, rapper Acie High, and she didn’t need any preparation to drop some bars on the radio as well.

According to her dad’s Snapchat, she’s already meeting with Capitol Records and other major labels. Alaya’s dad is clearly very proud of her. His Instagram has photos with her showing off her 5th-grade honor roll certificate, and he even features a mini music video of her which gives her the nickname “Cheat Code”.

Acie and his partner Priceless are part of the rap duo Aqualeo, and they actually made headlines back in February when they got into a scuffle with Tekashi69 outside LAX airport. According to Acie, 69 has a history of harassing women and on this occasion, he harassed women that Aqualeo was dropping off at the airport.

So, Acie High has got to be happy that his daughter is trending for being a bona fide online sensation. Maybe in a year or two, she can get into her very own rap beef?
