Demi Lovato and Jordan ‘Jutes’ Lutes will soon be getting married in the future.

The couple, who went public with their relationship in August 2022, got engaged on Saturday in Los Angeles.

The 32-year-old songwriter first met Lovato back in January 2022 when they co-wrote her recent track “Substance.” Lutes popped the question with a diamond engagement ring created by N.Y.C luxury jewelry boutique Material Good.

After the proposal, Lutes and Lovato stopped at Craig’s in Los Angeles to celebrate with their families.

Back on Lovato’s birthday in August, Lutes shared a variety of images paying tribute to his now-fiancée.

“happy birthday to my best friend. you’re obvs the most beautiful and talented person to ever do it,” he captioned the post. “but more importantly you’re weird af and u make me cry laughing.”

“I definitely am in a really good place,” Lovato told CBS Mornings earlier this year while promoting their new music. “I don’t know what I’m going to write about on my next album because I’m so happy. It is a really good feeling … definitely a bunch of sappy love songs — for sure.”

Lovato also opened up to Sirius XM’s The Morning Mash Up about the recent relationship saying they were “friends first and foremost.”

“We became friends first. We were friends for several months and then we decided to start dating and well, after we told each other how we felt,” said Lovato.
