Here’s Nirvana’s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ Played On 64 Extinct Floppy Drives
In case you haven’t heard, playing music on otherwise extinct computer parts is a pretty widespread phenomenon.
But what you might not have heard is just how awesome the creation of this particular track was! Linked together are 64, normally considered dead, floppy drives. Not the small floppy’s either, the long gone large size floppy’s adults my age used to play Oregon Trail off of when we were in school.
Creator Paweł Zadrożniak built what he has called “The Floppotron,” a veritable orchestra of dead electronics. He’s currently taking requests for songs too, so be sure to try and get some of your favorites in there!
