Beyoncé Shows Support for Lizzo Onstage Amid Harrassment Allegations: ‘I Love You Lizzo!’

After three former dancers of Lizzo spoke out and filed a lawsuit against the “Good As Hell” singer, Beyoncé took a moment to shout out the performer in her concert.

While performing “Break My Soul” (The Queens Remix) Beyoncé shouted, “Lizzo! I love you Lizzo! into the mic. Many were shocked to hear the queen make the statement amid the ongoing lawsuit.

The clip has been making its rounds on social media with many giving their perspective on the situation.

Beyoncé previously omitted the singer’s name on an August 8th performance during the Renaissance World Tour that had many speechless as well.

In the remix’s third verse, Beyoncé sings in one of the lines: “Betty Davis, Solange Knowles; Badu, Lizzo, Kelly Rowl.’ “

But during the concert at Gillette Stadium, according to fan-filmed videos, Beyoncé sang “Betty Davis, Solange Knowles; Badu, Badu, Badu, Badu.”

However, Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, was quick to shut down the social media chatter, alluding that it was pure coincidence. “She also didn’t say her own sisters name yall should really stop,”

In the lawsuit filed against the singer on August 8th, former dancers including Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez. The group alleged that they were pressured into touching nude performers by the singer while at a strip club in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Other main points in the lawsuit include some claiming they were forced to weight shaming as well as shaming those who engaged in premaritual sex from dance captain Shirlene Quigley.

On Aug. 10, Lizzo shared a lengthy statement on social media declaring that she was “not the villain” and that the allegations being made against her were “too outrageous” not to address.

“These last few days have been gut wrenchingly difficult and overwhelming disappointing,” her Instagram post began. “My work ethic, morals and respectfulness have been questioned. My character has been criticized. Usually I choose not to respond to false allegations but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous not to be addressed.”
