It seems like Britney Spears has tapped into fellow musicians Charli XCX and Julia Michaels to write the upcoming 10th studio album.
According to Page Six, the lyrical geniuses have been allegedly approached to pen tracks for Spears’ team, in what many hope to be the first album for the Princess of Pop in nearly a decade.
Sources say that Spears has not recorded any new material as of yet, and the project is just getting started.
The US Sun was the first to report on Charli XCX’s involvement with the album.
The “Gimme More” singer, 42, released her last album in 2016, titled “Glory.”
Spears took a break from music in 2019 explaining that she did not want her family, including Jamie Spears, to continue benefitting from her music sales during her conservatorship.
After a Los Angeles judge terminated the 13-year legal arrangement in 2021, fans have seen tracks like “Hold Me Closer” with Elton John and “Mind Your Business” with Will.i.am in 2022 and 2023 respectively.

Page six reported that the singer was allegedly recording this new album amidst her divorce with husband Sam Asghari.
“She has an upcoming writers camp and is getting songs from some big artists,” a source told us at the time.
As of now, the outlet claims that Spears had pressed pause on making music to focus on the release of her memoir “The Woman in Me.” The novel focused on “struggling” with the idea of performing once again as well due to all of the years of trauma.
Britney previously worked with Michaels, 30, on seven “Glory” songs, including the single “Slumber Party.”
Charli also submitted demos for the 2013 album “Britney Jean.”
“Nothing ended up on there, but I’m honored anytime Britney calls, obviously,” the “Boom Clap” singer, 31, shared on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” in 2022. “What a queen.”

This month marks the 25th anniversary of Britney’s debut album, “…Baby One More Time.”
