In a recent interview with Flaunt magazine, Emma Roberts, star of “Space Cadet,” revealed insights into her personal life, notably her decision to no longer date fellow actors. The 33-year-old actress, who shares a 3-year-old son named Rhodes with actor Garrett Hedlund, disclosed that her current boyfriend, Cody John, is not part of the entertainment industry.

“One day the veil was lifted and I didn’t want to date actors anymore,” Roberts expressed. “It’s hard, I think, for two actors to be together. I’m trying to think if I’ve seen it done successfully.”

Roberts, known for her roles in “American Horror Story” and “Tron: Legacy,” had a well-publicized relationship with Hedlund before their split in January 2022. Prior to that, she was in an on-and-off relationship with her “American Horror Story” co-star Evan Peters from 2012 to 2019.

Reflecting on her past relationships, Roberts mentioned the challenges of dating Method actors due to their intense dedication to their roles. She shared that maintaining a relationship under such circumstances was particularly difficult for her.

In contrast, Roberts highlighted her current boyfriend’s preference for privacy, noting that he avoids social media, which she appreciates. Offering advice in jest, she quipped, “If you want to send a girl crazy, don’t have Instagram.”

Beyond personal relationships, Roberts discussed the pressures of fame and living in the public eye. She admitted to occasional paranoia when leaving the house, wondering if she’s being photographed or recorded. Despite these challenges, she clarified that fame was never her goal, having witnessed its impact up close through her aunt, Julia Roberts, and her own experiences in the industry.

Currently, Emma Roberts is leading and executive producing the comedy series “Space Cadet,” co-starring Poppy Liu, Tom Hopper, and Gabrielle Union, set to premiere on Prime Video on July 4th. Additionally, she recently collaborated with Italian makeup brand Kiko Milano on a campaign aimed at creating a community bridging beauty and literature enthusiasts.
