Fans Slam Page Six Over Alleged Quote From Selena Gomez On Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce’s Relationship

A source claimed to Paige Six that actress and musician Selena Gomez commented negatively on her close friend Taylor Swift’s relationship with NFL Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

The anonymous source said “Selena thinks Taylor going to games and galavanting through New York immediately after just meeting Travis is something that is very unlike her. Historically, Taylor’s always been super private about everything, and now with this [relationship], she’s so open about it that it’s just very odd for Selena.”

The alleged statement is being met with widespread criticism, as fans of both Gomez and Swift feel that the report is false and an example of mass media pitting two women against each other.

Fans of Swift found it humorous that the source quoted Gomez as saying that the singer “galavanting through New York” was unusual behavior. Swift’s recently re-recorded “1989” details her experiences literally galavanting around New York City in her early 20s.

Others argued that there was nothing wrong with Swift’s relationship with Kelce. The couple are both 33 years old, and their perceived levels of maturity indicate to some onlookers that their relationship pace seems appropriate.

The couple were recently seen in New York City making cameo appearances on Saturday Night Live. The singer appeared to announce her friend and collaborator Ice Spice‘s performance, and Kelce made a guest appearance in host and comedian Pete Davidson‘s skit about the Swift-Kelce phenomenon. The pair were seen attending the SNL after party together, and spending time in the city.

The pair first united when a few months ago, his home stadium of Arrowhead was converted to a concert venue in the city for Swift’s tour, and the singer left a lasting impression on the NFL tight end. The Kelce brothers recounted Travis becoming enchanted with Swift, and getting creative with trying to get her attention. The NFL star admitted that he attempted to hand Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it.

Needless to say, the friendship bracelet began as a fumble, but Kelce wound up being the mastermind that caught Swift’s attention. Kelce and Swift have since been spotted supporting one another at media appearances and football games.

Neither Gomez nor Swift have addressed the quotes sent to Page Six.
