Oscar-nominated director Sophia Nahlia Allison is calling Lizzo ‘unkind’ and ‘dangerous’ after the shocking lawsuit against the Grammy winner dropped. The filmmaker shared her alleged experiences while working on a documentary with the singer on social media.

The “Love Lizzo” documentary deals with positivity, which is one ironic theme with these claims from this lawsuit.
Taking to Twitter’s newly revised platform X, Allison shared a photo detailing her experience working with the star back in 2019. She stated, “I usually do not comment on anything pop culture related. But in 2019, I traveled a bit with Lizzo to be the director of her documentary. I walked away after about two weeks. I was treated with such disrespect by her.
The director went on to add to the latest claims brought on by former dancers claiming mistreatment in the workplace and a hostile working environment.
Allison further added, “I witnessed how arrogant, self-centered, and unkind she is. I was not protected and was throwing into a s—– situation with little support. My spirit said to run as fast as you f—— can and I’m so grateful I trusted my gut. I felt gaslit and was deeply hurt, but I’ve healed.

The director did not go into detail on what exactly happened between her and the “Good as Hell” singer, but she did mention that these reports struck her deeply and gave support to the dancers.
Allison stated, “Reading these reports made me realize how dangerous of a situation it was. This kind of abuse of power happens far too often. Much love and support to the dancers.”
On Tuesday, the news broke that the three former dancers, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez are suing the Grammy winner as well as Big Grrrl Touring, and dance team captain Shirline Quigley.
As previously reported by What’s Trending, the trio allege they were subjected to weight-shaming, sexually degrading behavior, and pressure to participate in sex shows.
The plaintiff’s attorney, Ron Zambrano, blasted Lizzo in a statement saying, “The stunning nature of how Lizzo and her management team treated their performers seems to go against everything Lizzo stands for publicly, while privately she weight-shames her dancers and demeans them in ways that are … absolutely demoralizing.”
Hours after the lawsuit also became public, Lizzo’s former creative director, Quinn Whitley Wilson, and dancer Courtney Hollinquest stated they experienced similar treatment.

“For clarification, I’m not a part of the lawsuit – but this was very much my experience in my time there,” Hollinquest wrote on her Instagram Story. “Big shoutout to the dancers who had the courage to bring this to light.”
Wilson everything that was already said. Beyonce also left Lizzo out of her song “Break My Soul” during a live performance which originally featured a shout-out to Lizzo in the lyrics.
