Lifestyle and beauty influencer Jackie Miller James woke up from a medically induced coma a month after experiencing a ruptured aneurysm while nine months pregnant. The mom has also been reunited with her baby girl she gave birth to.
The 35-year-old mother’s family announced in a news post published to her Instagram page stating, “We are beyond thrilled to share that your loving prayers for Jackie have been working! Jackie is awake and was recently transferred to one of the best neurological rehabilitation hospitals in the country.”
The post also went on to mention, “The doctors have been pleased upon her latest tests, numbers, and evaluations, noting that Jackie is performing above expectations at this stage of her recovery and is progressing more with every passing day.”
The family even finished off the post stating that she has an “incredibly long road to recovery ahead of her” and urged followers to continue to send support. Just one week before the mom was to give birth to her baby girl, James collapsed in her California home and was found unconscious by husband Austin.
As reported previously from What’s Trending, the content creator was rushed to the emergency room where doctors performed an emergency C-section to deliver her daughter Knoxly Rose. The team also performed brain surgery at the same time for “severe brain and bleeding injury” caused by the ruptured aneurysm.
According to the post from the family shared Sunday, Knoxly “…is a constant source of light for the entire family and continues to grow into a happy, healthy, and animated little angel.”
Baby Knoxly was in the NICU for roughly 12 days before going home while James remained in a medically induced coma. The mom underwent a total of five brain procedures as noted in the GoFundMe page established by her sisters.

According to the page, the family will be giving “Jackie and very best care and every chance at recovery” according to the latest updates. As of Monday, the GoFundMe has raised more than $330,000 of its near $450,000 goal with donations coming in from people like The Big Bang Theory star Kunal Nayyar and Pretty Little Liars alum Shay Mitchell.
While much of the procedure has been published online with many reaching out, the family is asking that everyone “respect Jackie’s privacy during this personal, intimate and challenging time.”
The family went on to note in their Instagram post, “Going forward, Jackie will be the one to share any further updates across her platforms (in her own unique way) if and when she is ready.”
James gained a social media following after posting beauty and relationship content online. The star also shared photos from her wedding back in 2022. When the story about the coma first broke, James had roughly 30,000 Instagram followers. And now after the incident, those like Sofia Riche, Adrienna Bailon-Houton and many more have followed for updates bringing the account total to more than 76,000 followers.
