Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are evaluating their future as summer draws to a close. The couple, who have been navigating a rocky patch in their relationship, are currently living separate lives.
Lopez has been spending significant time in New York City and the Hamptons. During this period, she celebrated her birthday with a large gathering of friends and family, although Affleck was notably absent.
Affleck has largely remained in Los Angeles, while Lopez recently returned to the city. A source close to the couple told PEOPLE that they are moving on independently at this time. “Jennifer is looking for a new home to start fresh,” the source added.
Signs of trouble in their marriage surfaced in May when it was reported that Lopez and Affleck were living apart. Despite appearing together at various graduation ceremonies and family events, they chose separate summer activities and observed their two-year wedding anniversary apart in July.

Affleck has completed filming for “The Accountant 2,” a sequel to his 2016 action film, and will soon be seen in the Netflix crime thriller “RIP,” where he will reunite with his frequent collaborator Matt Damon.
