Kelsea Ballerini let everyone know what was going through her mind after the latest incident onstage.

The country music star was struck in the face by an object thrown from the crowed at her recent show. Users online were frustrated to see this happen after a string of concert performances with celebrities injured like Bebe Rexha. Alongside the screenshot of an online comment calling the singer “soft” for speaking out, Kelsea wrote on her Instagram Stories June 29th claiming this is a “sad, scary world we live in.”

In another post, the singer addressed the situation in more detail claiming that “someone threw a bracelet, it hit me in the eyes.” She went on to add “and it more so just scared me than hurt me.”

While Kelsea Ballerini let everyone know that she was fine, she noted “We all have triggers and layers of fears way deeper than what is shown, and that’s why I walked offstage to calm down and make sure myself, band and crew, and the crowd all felt safe to continue.”

“That’s all I ever want, is for shows to feel like a safe place for us all,” the singer continued. “I love you and appreciate all of the concern, let’s make the last two shows of the heartfirst tour the best yet.”

Kelsea had to pause her show on June 28th at the Idaho Botanical Garden in Boise, Idaho after the bracelet struck her during the performance of “If You Go Down (I’m Goin Down Too.)”

In the video, Kelsea can be seen immediately stopping her guitar when she was hit and placed her hand on her face. Upon the return to the audience, the singer stated “can we just talk about what happened?”
