Khalid Teases Fans That a New Album Will Be Coming in 2024

Khalid just let fans know that new music is on the way, and they can even expect a new album sometime soon.

The singer took to Instagram to post a snippet of the new music that is set to release sometime soon. In the post, the “Better” singer can be seen driving around Los Angeles with the video giving 90s nostalgia.

Khalid even sports grills in the video while whipping around in his AMG Mercedes Benz.

In the caption, the singer stated, “I know I’ve been MIA for a minute, but it feels good to be back soon. New Music 2024. New album 2024. For now, here’s a snippet.”

As of late, the R&B star and his charitable foundation, the Great Khalid Foundation, surprised children from two schools with Christmas gifts back in December.

The goal was to “ensure we keep the spirit of Christmas alive for local children that might otherwise go without a gift to open this holiday season,” said a news release sent out to media.

Khalid, who calls El Paso home, suffered a car accident in June of 2023. He was set to be Ed Sheeran’s opening act during Sheeran’s “+-=÷x” (Mathematics) Tour.”

The singer stated at the time, “I really hope Khalid gets well soon and that he’ll be joining us in Boston,” Sheeran said during the unplanned opening set in Maryland.

The 25-year-old singer pulled over when his car began overheating. Then, he moved into the passenger seat of the stationary vehicle and was hit by a passing car.

The British singer-songwriter, 32, posted to his Instagram Story on June 23 to let fans know Khalid would not be taking the stage at his Landover, Maryland show on June 25 as planned.

Fans at the four-time Grammy winner’s show got a double dose of the singer when he decided to be his own opening act. Taking the stage earlier than anticipated, Sheeran performed a half-hour-long acoustic set of songs from his new album, – (Subtract), including “Sycamore,” a particularly emotional track about his wife’s cancer diagnosis.

Sheeran shared more well-wishes for the Free Spirit musician in an Instagram post after the FedEx Field show.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for new music from the singer who has taken a back seat from the spotlight after his accident.
