Kylie Jenner Will Star in and Executive Produce a Hulu Murder Mystery

Kylie Jenner is moving from reality TV to a scripted whodunit. The Kylie Cosmetics founder is set to headline and executive produce “Bachelorette Weekend,” a thriller drama that’s close to a straight-to-series order at Hulu, Deadline first reported. It’s her first major acting role.

The premise is dark. A bachelorette weekend turns deadly when the bride, played by Jenner, is found murdered in the pool and her closest friends all become suspects.

Her character is described as the North Star of the series, which works backward to piece together what led to her death.

Kim Kardashian is executive producing alongside her sister. Author and screenwriter Lauren Oliver created the series, adapting an unpublished book by Flora Collins, with Kapital Entertainment and 20th Television as co-studios. The project falls under the Kardashians’ first-look deal at 20th.

Hulu hasn’t officially announced the order, and the deal is still being worked out. No premiere window or additional cast has been revealed.

Jenner, 29, has been easing into acting for a while. She played herself in Charli XCX’s A24 mockumentary “The Moment” and later admitted on Khloé Kardashian’s podcast that she was scared for days before filming her scenes. She also had a cameo in 2018’s “Ocean’s 8.” Now she’s following Kim, who has leaned into acting with “American Horror Story” and Hulu’s “All’s Fair.”
