Lady Gaga’s trip to Paris for the Summer Olympics was about more than just her dazzling performance on the Seine. After captivating audiences with her show-stopping act on Friday night, Gaga took the opportunity to thank her Parisian fans with a surprise preview of new music from her upcoming album.

The singer’s performance on the banks of the Seine, which took place amid the rain, was a highlight of the opening festivities. Following the event, Gaga expressed her gratitude to her French fans in an Instagram Story on Sunday. “I’m so deeply touched by my French fans this week outside the hotel,” she wrote, adding that she would share a sneak peek of her forthcoming music. “I’m gonna come out and say goodbye tonight with a few seconds of #LG7.”

True to her word, Gaga offered a glimpse of what’s to come from her seventh studio album. As night fell and camera flashes illuminated the scene, Gaga played two new tracks from the sunroof of a limousine. The songs, which featured thumping beats and bass-heavy keyboards, were accompanied by lyrics that were somewhat obscured by the enthusiastic crowd. At one point, it appeared that Gaga mouthed the words, “I’ve become what was holding me.”

The album, which is yet to be named, will be Gaga’s first new studio release since her 2020 album *Chromatica*. A release date for the album has not yet been announced.

This impromptu streetside preview followed Gaga’s vibrant performance at the Paris Olympics, where she sang the French-language number “Mon Truc en Plume” (“My Thing With Feathers”). Her routine was a lively, choreographed display featuring a grand staircase and dancers wielding large pink pom-poms. The playful and extravagant performance was a fitting prelude to the official opening of the games.

In addition to her music-related activities, Gaga made headlines over the weekend with a personal revelation. During an introduction to French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, Gaga referred to her longtime partner, Michael Polansky, as “my fiancé.” This casual mention of Polansky as her fiancé has sparked speculation about their engagement.

Fan footage of Gaga’s #LG7 preview has circulated widely, generating excitement for her new music and showcasing her continued connection with her audience. The unexpected release of new material and personal disclosures has only added to the buzz surrounding Gaga’s Parisian visit.
