Lil Nas X released his debut album MONTERO back in 2021, but now he’s got new music on the way.

In 2024 the rapper is looking to release a new track that he directed and wrote. As of late, the singer posted a snippet of new music which saw him going in a new stylistic direction from his first album.

Calling this his ‘Christian Era” aalling it “the best one yet!,” Nas concluded the post with a church, white heart and dove emojis.

Users online were upset when Lil Nas X used demonic imagery for his previous track MONTERO, but Nas fired back at critics and even had artists like Kid Cudi and Lecrae come to his defense.

“Making Christian music does not mean I can’t suck d*** no more,” he clarified to his followers. “The two are not mutually exclusive. I am allowed to get on my knees for multiple reasons.”

Nas went on about how not everything he does is a “gimmick,” and how he’s “just an artist expressing myself in different ways.”

The rapper doubled down on the backlash earlier this week and even set up a website teasing the new music.

The page pokes fun at Christian conspiracy theories that critics have made over the years about the rapper. Now, the “Old Town Road” crooner is sharing detailed on new music in a new tweet.

Ahead of posing the question about a Christian era, while at the world premiere of his new documentary Long Live Montero at the Toronto Film Festival this September, Nas answered a few fan questions during a Q&A. When asked about the potential style and sound of the new music, Nas said, “Hear me out… I want to do some folk music. What else do I want to do? Like, Brazilian funk.”

As of late, many critics took aim at the rapper for his bold Halloween costume. Nas revealed a tampon costume that shocked many, with some fans claiming they even had issues with the outfit.

Lil Nas X’s latest single “STAR WALKIN” dropped last year, which was in collaboration with League of Legends. The single went on to be a surprise hit and surpassed nearly 400 million streams on Spotify.
