Lindsay Lohan appears to be searching for love in her latest film with Netflix.

The actress, 37, stars in the first trailer for the latest movie Irish Wish, where she plays the character Maddie, whose best friend gets engaged to a man she assumes is her true love.

The movie stars the likes of Ed Speleers, Alexander Vlahos, Ayesha Curry, Elizabeth Tan, and Jane Seymour.

“It’s a nice story of luck and love and confidence,” Lohan told Tudum about the film, adding, “Maddie’s [one of the only] characters that I’ve played [who’s] a woman on her own making her way in the world. We shaped her in a way that she was a bit more insecure in the beginning, and then she grows throughout the movie, and by the end, she really comes into her own.”

Lohan added, “It’s important to put yourself first and know your worth. If you know you deserve better, go for it and get it.”

Irish Wish comes after Lohan’s Netflix holiday film Falling for Christmas, which debuted in November 2022 and was also directed by Janeen Damian.

Lohan also made a brief cameo in the Mean Girls movie musical, which hit theaters in January.

Lohan previously told The Hollywood Reporter that acting “is like riding a bicycle” while discussing her Hollywood comeback.

“It’s just in me. It’s a part of me. Doing films, playing a character, it brings me so much joy to be able to share a story with people. To take people on that journey with me is such a blessing,” she said, adding that she was “having a wonderful time” working with Netflix, and that she’s hoping to “dive deeper” with her future roles.

The star also told Cosmopolitan that she “wanted to play a different kind of character, more nerdy” in Irish Wish.

She added of her acting approach, “It’s always evolving. It comes very naturally to me to play a role, especially in a romantic comedy, so it doesn’t always feel like work. But when you really look at the character and how much more you can give people onscreen through the character’s eyes, there’s so much to play with and change.”
