Youtube influencer and boxer Logan Paul says he has a serious plan to run for president at the “The Future of Everything” festival hosted by Wall Street Journal. According to Paul, he wants to run for president in 2032, when he is 35, as he believes that the U.S. is in need of a president that is “authentic and creative. This is not the first time he mentioned this either, as he once said he plans to run for president in an episode of his podcast “Impaulsive.” Now, looking into the camera at the festival, he says ““I, Logan Paul, will be running for president in 2032.”

When asked about his younger brother Jake Paul, he says that his brother would be the Secratary of Defense. In his podcast, he said he considered waiting until he was older so that he might have gained more “intelligence and wisdom” but it seems as if that idea has changed as he opts to run as soon as he is elligble. “I’m 26 and I’ll be eligible to run for president when I’m 35. That gives me nine more years to become the best version of myself possible,” he also noted on the MMA hour.

But, this generated quite an amount of response online. The Paul brothers have equally been controversial in the past, making them an interesting pair when it comes to politics. “The US is increasingly becoming a reality TV show. What are his political credentials? Would he pass a civics test? Why doesn’t he start in local politics first? These are legitimate questions,” one person commented.

Overall, it seemed like very little people wanted to see this become a reality. Although it is not clear what Paul’s political ideas are and the ideas he would bring when running for president, many take solace in the fact that this is at least 10 years away, in which he could potentially mature or change his mind. Or, as some people theorized, this is just a joke to bring attention to his name and brand.
