YouTuber turned fighter Logan Paul signed a contract with WWE earlier this week that will last until 2023. The fighter posted this on Twitter, causing him and WWE to begin to trend online. Following the announcement, WWE posted about Paul signing the “dotted line” and Paul poking fun at The Miz, saying he is “coming for him. Triple H, who appeared next to Paul in the photo along with interim CEO Stephanie McMahon, said “I think it’s safe to say, Logan Paul shocked the world with his abilities as a guest at Wrestle Mania … just imagine what he’ll do as a WWESuperstar. Congratulations and welcome!”

Paul, who transitioned to YouTube after getting a following on Vine, had a controversial history, but it seemed many people enjoyed watching him. “Logan Paul is a natural entertainer bro, that man got more charisma than literally 99.9% of wrestlers AND he can go in the ring,” one person wrote. Other people, however, were not as excited. “Well, this will certainly shake up WWE’s image as a company that no longer cares about Wrestling but instead chases what was hot and popular a decade ago,” one person noted.

Paul boxed Floyd Mayweather and participated in WWE Smackdown” and “WrestleMania.” He will also be featured as a WWE superstar. Along with now being with WWE, he has a podcast called “Impaulsive” that draws in a lot of views, and sometimes controversy. His brother, Jake Paul, is a boxer as well. “After Logan Paul’s WrestleMania showing, that’s objectively a huge get for WWE. Even if he does one or two matches a year, he’s a big name to have on the show,” a wrestling reporter Sean Ross noted.
