Megan Thee Stallion is taking legal action against blogger Milagro Gramz, alleging harassment and the dissemination of false information related to the 2020 shooting incident involving Tory Lanez. The lawsuit, filed on October 30 in Florida, claims that Gramz, whose real name is Milagro Elizabeth Cooper, serves as a “paid surrogate” for Lanez, spreading untrue narratives about the rapper’s experience.
The lawsuit states that Cooper has made a series of damaging allegations against Megan, whose real name is Megan Pete. Among the claims, Megan asserts that Cooper shared a “deepfake pornographic video” of her on X (formerly Twitter), accused her of having a “severe drinking problem,” and questioned her “mental status.” The suit also cites derogatory remarks made by Cooper, including calling Megan an “angry Black woman” and a “lying ass hoe.”
In addition to these accusations, the legal documents contend that Cooper made false statements about the firearm used in the shooting. Specifically, Cooper purportedly claimed that the gun was not produced during the trial because it was “missing.” However, Megan’s legal team clarifies that the firearm remains in the custody of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The lawsuit highlights a pattern of Cooper questioning whether Lanez actually shot Megan, despite his conviction. In December 2022, a jury found Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, guilty of assaulting Megan with a semi-automatic firearm, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. He was subsequently sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Megan’s legal team is seeking a jury trial, monetary damages, and coverage for attorneys’ fees. They also request a permanent injunction to prevent Cooper from publishing any future intimate visual depictions of Megan.
In a statement regarding the lawsuit, Megan emphasized the need for accountability among bloggers. “It’s time to hold bloggers accountable for years of harassment, cyberbullying, and the publication of misinformation about my personal and professional life,” she said.
The Grammy-winning rapper further remarked, “I’ve endured countless attacks on my character based on false narratives from social media bloggers misrepresenting themselves as journalists.” She condemned the behavior as “unacceptable” and insisted that there must be consequences for spreading defamatory falsehoods.

Megan’s comments underscore the broader issue of misinformation and harassment prevalent in social media discourse, particularly regarding public figures. The rapper has faced ongoing scrutiny since the shooting incident, which has been the subject of public debate and media coverage.
In response to the lawsuit, Cooper acknowledged being served and took to X to share her reaction. “I’ve been informed that I’m being sued by Alex Spiro on behalf of his client Megan Thee Stallion,” she wrote, adding, “Countersuit gone go crazy,” in a follow-up post.
The legal drama between Megan and Lanez has captured public attention, particularly following the 2022 trial that brought renewed focus to the incident. The shooting reportedly occurred after an altercation among Megan, Lanez, and her former assistant Kelsey Harris following a pool party at Kylie Jenner’s home on July 12, 2020.
Megan has previously spoken out about the emotional toll the events surrounding the shooting have taken on her, describing her experiences in a candid manner. In her documentary, she expressed feelings of betrayal and the challenges of navigating public perception while dealing with personal trauma.
