A wave of critics has followed the royal couple after the demise of their Spotify deal. The leading agent at the talent agency reportedly made the comments during a discussion on podcasting, and the role of celebrities at Cannes, France.
As of late, Markle and and Prince Harry have terminated their $20 million deal with Spotify after their company Archwell failed to product podcasts highlighting diverse perspectives and voices.
He also went on to say, “And, you know, just because you’re famous doesn’t make you great at something.”
Bill Simmons, founder of the Ringer podcast network, also went on to accuse the couple of being “grifters” in his own podcast.
Spotify scrapped the deal for the podcast after only 12 episodes were made. The series featured Markel in conversations with friends and celebs like Trevor Noah, Mariah Carey, Serena Williams and more.
