Howdy folks, welcome to another weekend roundup. I am Rachel the WT Intern here to bring you a little bit of what you missed this weekend.  Today we are going to be covering A Bath and Body Works Scandal, Hushpuppi, and Tana Mongeau. Without further ado, lets jump right in.

Tana Mongeau Controversy!

Tana Mongeau is no stranger to controversy. Even before her now-infamous Tana-Con, the YouTube personality has been fighting off allegations of controversy left, right, and center. But today she is in hot water after horrific allegations of racism from Khalen Barry came to light.

Barry released a video earlier this week recounting the racist treatment and microaggressions by Mongeau recounting several horrific incidents that though shocking didn’t seem too out of character for her. Upon the video’s release, Barry received an outpouring of support from fans and those disgusted by Mongeau’s behavior.

Tana apologized a week later in a Twitter thread and let’s just say that folks were less than enthusiastic about what she was saying. “I’ve been trying to find the words to address this and apologize in a way that won’t further hurt anyone, and educate myself on how to handle this properly. I am so sorry that came with any silence,” she tweeted.  Several people responded on Twitter and they were not impressed…

Hushpuppi Goes MISSING? His lawyer says he was kidnapped by the FBI!

Instagram influencer Hushpuppi was arrested in June in Dubai for alleged money laundering. Hushpuppi who’s real name is  Ramon Olorunwa Abbas and his accomplice Olalekan Jacob Ponle were arrested and meant to stand trial in Chicago on July 3.

Even though Dubai and the United Arab Emirates have no specified extradition policies with the United States police in the UAE claim that the influencer was extradited to the United States. But because of the lack of details and information about the extradition Hushpuppi’s lawyer Gal Pissetzky doesn’t believe that this was really what happened.

“There was no extradition, there were no legal steps taken, there were no court documents filed, it was simply a call to the FBI. He is not a citizen of the United States,” Pissetzky told BBC. “The U.S. had absolutely no authority to take him.”

Twitter thinks that there could be more happening, including ties to alleged cybercrimes. Ultimately very little is known about the whereabouts of Hushpuppi, but as we know more Twitter will be the first to know.

What do you think about this whole thing? Where is Hushpuppi?

Bath and Body Works Trump Controversy

Saturday a video surfaced of a Bath and Body Works employee yelling “f*ck Trump” at a customer who was wearing a Trump mask. Jeremiah Cota, one of the members of the Trump Victory Committee was walking past a Bath and Body Works location in his hometown of Scottsdale Arizona where he got into a nasty altercation with the manager of the store.

Cota recorded the incident and with the manager, a woman that goes by Karren as she yelled an expletive at the customer. According to Karren however, the clip was taken out of context and she was actually provoked into yelling at the customer.

Regardless it quickly went viral on Twitter with some showing their support for the employee who has now lost her job, and some for Cota.  Most of the tweets however have been canceling the company for their alleged racism.
