While the United States is still reeling from the Miami Heat’s NBA Championship win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, the world at large has been fixated on the European Football Championships, which have generated thousands of tweets and made the hashtag #Euro2012 a daily trending topic.

Nowhere was this more evident than on June 11, when England played France in a highly anticipated fixture that generated tweets from around 160 countries worldwide.
In line with the worldwide excitement surrounding Euro 2012, which is currently in it’s quarterfinal stages, Twitter has launched a page exclusively for the Tournament, featuring the top player’s Twitter accounts, organizations and coaches, and the most relevant and social tweets. The page is similar to the one recently announced for NASCAR.
The page will “kick-off” on Friday with the Germany and Greece quarter-final.
