Multi-Grammy winning singer-songwriter and music producer Pharrell has long held a balancing act between industries throughout his long and successful career. A few months ago, Pharrell was named the new Creative Director of Louis Vuitton, following a long search process from the fashion house. The musician now fills the shoes of the late Virgil Abloh, who died of cancer in 2021. The audience of the musician’s high fashion debut was star-studded, with Beyoncé, Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, and Zendaya both in attendance.

The show, held in Paris, France, featured a variety of textiles and patterns. Pharrell has long been applauded for his ability to seamlessly blend street style with high fashion, and the latest menswear line did just that. Fashion buffs and onlookers alike commemorated Pharrell’s debut as creative director, especially given the powerful shoes he had to fill.

Others applauded the personal feeling of many of the designs.

Following the runway show, the singer took to the stage and performed. He was eventually joined by rapper Jay-Z.
