Bruno Mars & Cardi B Drop 90s Inspired Music Video for ‘Finesse’

  • There is no denying that Bruno Mars and Cardi B are two of the hottest artists in the game right now. Since the release of his third studio album — 24K Magic — in November of 2016, Bruno Mars has been playing sold out crowds across Europe and North America on his 86-date 24K Magic World Tour. With songs like “24K Magic,” “That’s What I Like,” “Chunky,” and more influenced by 1980s and 90s pop nostalgia, it is no question why Bruno Mars has continued to top the charts.

Cardi B — since the release of “Bodak Yellow” in June of 2017 this female rapper has shown no signs of slowing down. With her features on songs like “No Limit” and “MotorSport,” she has become the first female rapper to land her first three songs in the Top 10 of the Hot 100. And, did I mention she can also sing in Spanish? Cardi B recently collaborated with Ozuna on “La Modelo,” and — as a fellow Latina — I can confirm the track is straight fire.

It was only a matter of time before these two powerhouse artists hopped on a track together. On Wednesday, Bruno Mars released a remix to his track “Finesse” featuring Cardi B…

  • Between the outfits, bright colors, and choreography — the video definitely gives off an “All That,” “In Living Color,” “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” vibe. And, Cardi B’s verse? Amazing. I am now convinced she can sing/rap over any flow.

The video has had social media in a frenzy, as it’s transported many back to the good ol’ days — the 90s. Check out some of my favorite social reactions below.
