  • In a video posted online, we see Mark Hamill, in costume as Luke Skywalker, get hit with a wave of emotion after seeing Frank Oz play Yoda for the first time since Return of the Jedi in the 1980’s.

I guess that’s a spoiler if you haven’t seen Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but if you haven’t seen the new Star Wars, come on! What are you doing? You should rent it now. It’s great. Luke drinks milk out of a big old space cow. It’s lovely.

One of the big additions to the movie has been watching a lot of our favorite Star Wars heroes say goodbye one more time as they make way for the new generation. Of course, Luke Skywalker has been a major aspect of this, as we see Mark Hamill growing into an old angry man who then gets redeemed by Rey.

We also see Yoda — in his original puppet form, played by Frank Oz as he giggles and laughs and continues to mess with Mark Hamill/Luke Skywalker. When Mark Hamill, the actor, sees Frank Oz play Yoda for the first time since the 80’s, his reaction is palpable. It’s beautiful. Frank Oz then comes out and embraces Mark Hamill. Lovely.
