Selena Gomez and DJ-record producer Fred Again grabbed dinner alone this week, with some believing it was a date.
Eyewitnesses told ET that did not seem to be the case though.
What’s Trending can confirm that Selena Gomez and Fred Again grabbed a bite Barney’s Beanery in West Hollywood Thursday night. The same night, the singer took to her Instagram Story and posted a selfie from the joint. In the picture, the “Calm Down” singer stuck out her tongue while Fred was nearby.
Eyewitnesses stated that Fred and Gomez showed up around nearly 7:00 PM having a good time. Some claim it did not look like a date as they sat across from each other and did not have any physical contact.
At one point, someone in the bar got very close to Gomez and nearly hit her with the cue. The person playing apologized to the singer in which she apologized saying “No problem, Go win!”
Gomez and Fred were not there at the location for very long. The two left around 8:30 PM with a security guard who left with them as well.
Fred has been a longtime collaborator with Ed Sheeran, Swedish House Mafia, and Skrillex.

Just recently, the singer went on to playing the red flags “why am I single” game on TikTok – which some claimed was Gomez simply having fun.
Gomez recently let everyone know she returned to the studio on social media as well.
In the photo slideshow, the former Disney Channel star showed off a series of “random” photos from places like the makeup chair, dining out, and even a shot from inside the studio.
The sessions detailed a team of people posing with her pup, Winnie, as well. The post came just after a month after Gomez teased new music in another post from inside a studio in Paris, France.
Gomez has recently recorded a photo with Camila Cabello for an upcoming track but no others have been confirmed.
