VIDEO: Saturday Night Live Reflects Millennial Economic Woes With “Millennial Millions”

This Saturday Night Live sketch, involving a game show where millennials try to win money from an ever greedy baby boomer generation, is interesting in its politics. It starts incredibly progressive and empathetic -- focusing on how baby boomers will destroy the lives of millennials in this ever growing economy that is meant to suffocate those who suffer the most, and the uhh-- tries to play both sides by saying millennials complain too much? The economy has been suffocated by one very selfish generation, and this millennial generation just wants people to recognize that uhh-- your transphobic bullshit won't fly anymore, old man! In any case, Saturday Night Live discussed this economic suffocation in between their okay sketches involving Alec Baldwin in bad costumes in "Millennial Millions", a game show where millennials try to scrounge back whatever money they can from the Baby Boomers who grabbed it from the world.

SNL Imagines Life Without Trump With “It’s A Wonderful Trump”

Saturday Night Live has made annoying the president its greatest focus. More than developing any cast member or writer on the show, more than crafting new characters that franchises and kingdoms can be built around. No, the #1 concern of Saturday Night Live is one thing -- annoying the president with an in and out of the newspaper for some dumb bs,Alec Baldwin, in tow. And I guess this one really, really got to him, since after watching the "It's a Wonderful Trump" sketch, the president then went and Tweeted calling for the illegilization of Saturday Night Live and satire in general! And what is "It's A Wonderful Trump"? Well... it imagines a world where Donald Trump was not elected president and-- in a parody of "It's A Wonderful Life" -- the world without a president Trump is infinitely better.
