While many thought Swift was in Connecticut, instead Swift was seen eating with Zoë Kravitz, Keleigh Sperry and Selena.
The group shared a meal at Sushi Park in West Hollywood, California.
Swift, 33, was seen smiling in paparazzi photos while hanging with her friends in belted light-wash jeans and an open-knit cream top.
Gomez, 31, and Kravitz, 34, both wore black, while Sperry, 31, rocked a white jacket.
While the group was having their meal, hundreds of fans allegedly gathered around Elm in New Canaan, Connecticut trying to force their way inside.
Three police officers were called to the scene and fire department attempted to settle the crowd.

Although Lively, 36, lives in Pound Ridge, NY, which is close by the restaurant, Kelce, 34, was spotted practicing in Kansas City, Mo., earlier that same day.
Just lately, the NFL player enjoyed a weekend of date nights in New York City with Taylor.
The duo were seen exiting the SNL set as well after their surprise cameos on the show to introduce Ice Spice and other segments.
The show apparently showed PDA at the afterparty and were also photographed holding hands on their way to Nobu and the Waverly Inn on back-to-back evenings.
