If you have browsed TikTok long enough, you might find yourself on the portion of TikTok that loves home organization. These videos, which many find satisfying and enjoy watching, often feature creators unpacking from the grocery store. They take the things they have out of the plastic organizers and replace them with other organization tactics, often another plastic container. One TikToker, @Ohthatskreed, reacted to this on his TikTok, where he says “When does this become an obsession?” He reacted to the creator Kandice Breinholt, @kandicebreinholt on TikTok, whose account is dedicated to these types of videos, known as “restocking.”

As the creator reacted to the video, he noted that with everything the creator was replacing, the item had already come with it and a replacement did not need to be used or bought. He noted that “they come with packaging with the purpose that this is doing.” Nonetheless, Kandice has 1.3 million followers who love her content, and this type of “restocking video” is something she does often. And, there were quite a few angry comments in their video, as people thought that the packaging that Kandice bought was more pleasing to the eyes. One commenter wrote “people are allowed to have an aesthetic and want to have things match. it’s not a crime.”

Others noted that it does not just make a kitchen look more clean and organized, it also helps preserve and keep the items fresher. In a follow-up video, the creator notes that he was not trying to stir anything up in the comments and did not think it would offend anyone. He writes that “I’m so sorry for disrupting the peace of TikTok.” Other people, however, agreed with him and said that they felt like it was a waste of time, and others worried that they would forget when something expired.

So, it looks like the people of TikTok take their home organization incredibly seriously, so definitely do not start anything with them. And, I guess the videos of watching people restock their home can be quite addicting to watch.
