In a recent TikTok, Lyssa, who goes by @xolyssarosexo on TikTok, warned her followers to trust their guts when they interact with people they are introduced to from online dating. In her video, she explains that she was sent incredibly threatening messages that “only got worse” after canceling a date and said that before this interaction, he was completely normal. The messages start a little odd, as he seems persistent to see her, but nothing out of the usual as he asks to meet her. When Lyssa said no, he begins to guilt-trip her and say that if she liked him like she said she did, she would meet him. However, the messages become increasingly alarming when he says he will not “take no for an answer.”

As the messages continue, they become longer and more aggressive, as he continues to plead with Lyssa to come out to see him. She explains that they have only been chatting for a week and that he is beginning to scare her since he would not leave her alone after she admitted she did not feel like going out that night. He then accuses her of lying that she liked him. Unfortunately, things only worsened from this.

After removing him from social media apps, he becomes more persistent and says that he is “begging” her, which she tried to explain is what she did not like. He then continues to send numerous messages, and many were concerned that the man acted like they had been together for months, rather than only communicating for five days. Then, many were incredibly shocked to see that the man said that he had “fallen in love with her.” As Lyssa continued to not respond, the texts continued to pour in.

After Lyssa asked him to stop texting her, he finally obliged after she insinuated she would report this to the police for harassment. He also noted that this would not be his “first rodeo” which many felt was a little odd to say in reference to being involved with law enforcement. In the end, Lyssa seems to be in a place that’s safe and text free, but this does serve a reminder to people who are online dating and how people are not always what they seem.
