NFL Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce allegedly has a new good luck charm–none other than Grammy winning pop superstar Taylor Swift.
A source told The Messenger that Kelce has begun referring to Swift as his “good luck charm” amid their burgeoning relationship. The public eye shifted to the alleged couple when Swift appeared at one of Kelce’s home games in Kansas City, and then again when the Chiefs faced off with the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Swift has been spotted going out to dinner with Kelce, and the two have also been seen meeting one another’s family and friends. The Chiefs won both games that Swift attended.
This weekend, a viral clip of Kelce addressing the rumors in a press conference while managing to keep details of his relationship with Swift private captured the hearts of TikTok. In the video, Kelce stated that “lots of people care about Taylor, with good reason,” and that they are learning to manage the mass media attention on their relationship together.

How It All Began
Kelce has rapidly found fame as an NFL star in his own right, gaining new fans for the “New Heights” podcast he shares with his brother, Jason Kelce, a center for the Philadelphia Eagles. A few months ago, his home stadium of Arrowhead was converted to a concert venue in the city for Swift’s tour, and the singer left a lasting impression on the NFL tight end.
The Kelce brothers recounted Travis becoming enchanted with Swift, and getting creative with trying to get her attention. The NFL star admitted that he attempted to hand Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it.

The friendship bracelets have become a big part of Swift’s tour experiences, and refer to a lyric from her song “You’re On Your Own Kid,” in which she sings “make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it.” Kelce was following “Eras” etiquette and tried to get creative, but his message was at first lost in translation. The football star revealed his unique bracelet design on the “New Heights” podcast, to his brother’s amusement.
Once Swift was spotted at the Kansas City home game several weeks ago alongside the Kelce brothers’ mother, Donna Kelce, the internet ran wild. The brothers addressed the date heard around the world on their podcast that week.
Jason Kelce jokingly asked his brother “How does it feel now that Taylor Swift has finally put you on the map?” Kelce has long been a respected NFL player, but his alleged relationship with Swift has catapulted him into her global fanbase’s radar.
Travis Kelce chimed in saying “Shout out to Taylor for pulling up. That was pretty ballsy. I just thought it was awesome how everybody in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her. She looked amazing, everybody, the friends and family, were talking about her in a great light.”
He went on to describe his admiration for the positive energy at Arrowhead Stadium in her presence, and her high-fiving his mother when he scored a touch down. Kelce went on to say that fans’ dedication with punny Swift-Kelce signs and friendship bracelets was “absolutely hysterical.”
