Angry Star Wars Fan Edits “Feminism” Out of The Last Jedi

  • The internet is abuzz with some weirdo’s edit of The Last Jedi. Is it sexist? Well, it cuts out all the women, so you tell me.

Star Wars fans are in heated internet debate — the best kind of debate — over a so called “de-feminized” edit of The Last Jedi found on piratebay. Here’s how the angry Star Wars fan described his new edit in his upload to pirate bay —

Basically The Last Jedi minus Girlz Powah and other silly stuff. It would probably be easier to make a list of things that were kept instead of things that were changed. Hardly any scene got away without cuts. The resulting movie is (wait for it …) 46 minutes long. Yeah I know, it’s not ideal. … You will probably enjoy it most when you view it less as a blockbuster movie and more as some kind of episode from some non-existent mediocre Star Wars series.

In the “de-feminized” version of The Last Jedi, Leia never scolds Poe, and Admiral Holdo is cut out because older women are scary. Basically, this piratebay guy spent weeks cutting Leia and Holdo out of The Last Jedi and still couldn’t forget that time he called his teacher “Mommy.”

The person who created this “de-feminized” version of The Last Jedi also made significant changes to Luke Skywalker’s death by having Luke actually NOT project his image with the Force, because I guess mental powers are girly? So, Luke just gets shot by Kylo Ren’s guns.

The other thing is, by cutting out Holdo, it means that it’s Poe dying in a kamikaze mission, which is… weird to say the least.

The mysterious piratebay weirdo also made it so that Finn kills Phasma with one hit because “women are naturally weaker than men.” Does this guy know where Finn came from, and how movies work? If Finn could do this with one hit we wouldn’t have these movies. The Force Awakens would just be Finn bonking Phasma on the head and then walking away from everything to drink some sweet, sweet alien milk.

The piratebay weirdo is also racist. He refers to Kelly Marie Tran repeatedly as the “Asian chick” or “China girl” — even though her family’s from Vietnam, but of course, accuracy was never this guy’s strong suit, was it?

The Internet has reacted to the “de-feminized” version of The Last Jedi, predictably, by laughing at this anonymous editor.
