Swifties have taken to Twitter to express their frustration and amusement over the ticket buying process for the Eras Tour. Taylor Swift super fans received verified ticket presale codes from Ticketmaster this week before more seats on the multi-city stadium tour open.

But the presale experience wasn’t all that easy. Not every fan received a presale code, and Mashable reported Tuesday morning that Ticketmaster crashed due to overwhelming demand.

The Eras Tour, which Swift says will take fans on “a journey through the musical eras of my career,” is not the first Swift venture to crash ticket sites or make fans vent their annoyances at each other online. Fans even tried to buy tickets from New York University students to hear Swift speak at their 2022 commencement ceremony.

Though the ticket buying process has been a headache for some, it’s also led to Twitter comedy gold, with even brands getting in on the jokes.

Whether depressed or delighted by Ticketmaster’s site, Swifties can agree that the Eras Tour ticket buying experience has become a memorable—and memeable—pop culture moment.

Fans who have spent the day obsessively refreshing their Ticketmaster webpage may have missed the news that Swift was just nominated for the Grammy award for Song of the Year for her 10-minute re-recording of her 2012 breakup anthem “All Too Well.”

“Ticketmaster” trended on Twitter throughout the day, along with the hashtag #TSTheErasTour.
