Usher Stars In New SKIMS Menswear Campaign and Announces Exclusive Album Release

Ahead of one of the biggest performances of USHER’s career at Super Bowl LVIII, the star was announced as the newest face of the SKIMS menswear campaign.

The campaign, announced Monday morning, will also be accompanied by a special limited-edition release of the singer’s upcoming album exclusively on the SKIMS website.

The campaign, shot by Donna Trope, features two of the shapewear brand’s already-existing menswear collections: SKIMS Stretch, a collection of lightweight, ultra-soft pieces, and SKIMS Coon, a lineup of essentials built from a soft, mid-weight coon blend with built-in recovery.

In addition, the latest menswear drop will include four new colors including: Stone, Midnight Blue, Military and Oxblood.

“When I was asked to partner with SKIMS Mens, I was so humbled,” USHER said in a statement. “Kim’s been a longtime friend of mine who’s always been so supportive of my work, so the opportunity to collaborate together on a campaign that supports both of our highly anticipated launches made total sense.”

“Launching this campaign ahead of multiple career milestones feels like a full circle moment, with SKIMS supporting the release of my new album, ‘COMING HOME,’” he continued. “With the way that I move, being this comfortable in what you wear is essential. SKIMS is about embracing who you are, inside and out, and feeling empowered to express yourself authentically.”

In addition to the campaign, SKIMS will release an exclusive digital-download version of USHER’s upcoming album. The new release will also feature an alternative cover and bonus track titled “Naked.” The special-edition version will also be available on the SKIMS website the first week of release, starting Feb. 8 at 9 p.m PT.

Kim launched the first campaign for SKIMS last October when they announced that they would be the official NBA partner. The campaign saw the likes of stars including Neymar Jr., Nick Bosa, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

USHER joins the long list of names posing for the brand. As of late, Lana Del Rey starred in a SKIMS Valentine’s Day campaign, the same week the singer was announced as the 2024 Coachella headliner. Shortly before, “Sex and the City” star Kim Catrall was seen on the Best of SKIMS campaign, which included stars like Ice Spice, Pink Pantheress and SZA.
