Gender reveal parties can be silly. Why cut open a cake to see if its blue, or get a gator to bite a watermelon or whatever, in front of a dozen people when gender is just construct, dummy. Duh! Still, we can’t help but have our hearts melted when we watch this video that Twitter user Ana Young posted of her mother finding out the gender of her child. Rather than do something tacky such as the color blue or the color pink, Ana was handed a recording saying the baby’s gender. However, there was a twist: the voice on the recording was that of her late father, edited to say the baby’s gender. It’s heartbreaking, and if you love crying (and who doesn’t) you’ll love the video. Check it out below.

Sniff. Sniff. Sniffle. Okay, we’re back. Sniffle. So take that gender reveal parties! You just got bested by a beautiful heart wrenching video that maybe will reaffirm your sense of family and get you to call your dad! We love it. It’s incredible.
