Remi Cruz is now officially engaged as her boyfriend of four years, Cal Parsons, recently proposed to the social media star.
In a People Exclusive, Parsons popped the question on September 2nd while the two were in Santa Barbara, California. The location apparently was very special for the two of them as they celebrated a six-month anniversary at the location before.
“[Parsons] rented a villa on the most stunning property and popped the question at a quiet corner in the garden,” the lifestyle influencer tells PEOPLE.
The couple met on Hinge and have been together for nearly four years. Cruz has more than five million followers across YouTube and is known for her podcast series with Alisha Marie Pretty Basic.
The couple had previously discussed getting married, but Cruz was very surprised when the ring came out.
“A few years into our relationship, we started having talks about the possibility of getting engaged. We went ring shopping at the top of this year, and I was so excited and anticipating the proposal at some point in 2023,” says Cruz.
The social media star also has a series “Cooking with Remi” where she is known for making Korean classics and junk food alternatives.

Cruz also stated,“I was surprised, but had definitely been suspicious, I had an inkling it was going to happen a few weeks out, but then my whole family threw me off and made me completely question if it was going to happen or not. In the end, I think I was the perfect amount of surprised because I was prepped just in case it happened, but also still not 100% sure.”
And apparently Cal got ’emotional’ during the occasion.
“It was so sweet because you could see how much planning and how many emotions went into everything for him. He completely cared about my experience and wanted to make it so perfect for me,” she tells PEOPLE.
“All my friends have started asking the ‘When’s the wedding?’ question, but right now we’re just soaking in the excitement and will start planning at a later date,” she says.
As of late, many have been keeping up with the social media sensation with her ventures online. Just recently, viewers loved seeing the beauty star with friend Alisha Marie headed to a Beyonce concert in fashion. In the viral TikTok video, users saw the two friends roll up with one luxury car with the queen herself detailing the adventure for the night.
