12 Year Old Tells Emotional Story of a Broken Robot Through DANCE

Merrick Hanna, a 12 year old dancer wowed the audience and judges of America’s Got Talent through an emotional dance about a broken robot. The words in the song Hanna picked coupled with his striking dance moves, tells an emotional story that left viewers stunned.

Before I watched the video, I wasn’t sure how a dance about a robot could be emotional. I mean, I know the robot dance and it’s stiff and funny but emotional and “floppy?” No way. Hanna proved me wrong though and left me in awe. Judge Howie Mandel even admitted to getting teary eyed during the performance.

Hanna’s performance drew a standing ovation from the crowd and judges and Simon Cowell told Marrick that his dance was “one of the best dance performances on the show.” Cowell described the dance as “smart, clever and current.” He was so impressed by Hanna’s dance that he said he wants him in a music video and would send a clip of his audition to Syco, his record label.

Hanna says his inspiration behind his dedication to dancing is his grandma. At 80 years old, she takes 4 dance classes a week. I am thoroughly impressed with Hanna and his grandmother and his dance left me with chills. What do you guys think? Let us know in the comments or @WhatsTrending on Twitter!
