  • So, the argument is that it’s unhealthy for a fox to eat a plant-based diet, since he’s a wild fox and thus eats meat. It is true, however, that in the wild, Fennecs primarily eat insects, snails, lizards, rodents, birds and eggs, though they are omnivorous like us primates, and can eat plants and berries as well.

Sonia defended her decision on Facebook, arguing that Jumanji’s hairless appearance is due to skin allergy, and that he’s completely healthy on the diet. Read her statement below —

  • She says all this despite posting pictures online of Jumanji appearing to be malnourished. And, online resources emphasize that a Fennec Fox’s diet should closely resemble that of a cat’s — at least 90% meat.

She’s also being criticized for having a pet fox in the first place, as the Fennec is native to North Africa and the Arabian peninsula.

What do you guys think? Is Sonia Sae jeopardizing Jumanji’s health by feeding him a vegan diet, or has the Internet outrage machine jumped the gun? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter at @WhatsTrending.
