Alex Cooper, the host of the popular podcast *Call Her Daddy*, has secured a multiyear agreement with SiriusXM, marking a significant shift in her distribution and advertising partnerships. The deal, which will see exclusive programming from Cooper’s company start in 2025, is valued at up to $125 million, according to sources familiar with the arrangement. However, another source suggests the deal could be worth $100 million. Representatives for both Cooper and SiriusXM have declined to comment on the financial specifics.
Under this new agreement, SiriusXM will replace Spotify as Cooper’s distribution and advertising partner. The satellite radio and audio streaming company will gain exclusive rights to advertise, distribute, and handle content for Cooper’s flagship podcast, *Call Her Daddy*, as well as for her Unwell Audio Network. Despite the transition, *Call Her Daddy* will remain accessible to Spotify listeners.
“I am beyond excited to work with SiriusXM,” Cooper said in a statement. “The Daddy Gang will always be my top priority, and with SiriusXM, we will continue to find new ways to evolve and provide my listeners the best experience. The Daddy Gang wants more, so we’re getting ready to give them more… I can’t wait for this new chapter to begin.”
Cooper’s *Call Her Daddy* podcast has garnered a massive following due to her candid approach to topics like dating, sex, mental health, and self-care. In 2021, Spotify had paid approximately $60 million for a three-year exclusive deal with Cooper, a move that was part of the company’s broader strategy to invest heavily in podcast content and technology. The podcast initially launched at Barstool Sports before moving to Spotify.
SiriusXM has been active in expanding its podcast portfolio recently. In January, the company secured a three-year, $100 million deal with the podcast and media company SmartLess, founded by Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, and Sean Hayes. This deal grants SiriusXM exclusive distribution and ad-sales rights to SmartLess’s shows.
In addition to the SmartLess deal, SiriusXM acquired Conan O’Brien’s Team Coco podcast company for $150 million in 2022 and purchased the podcast network and studio Stitcher. SiriusXM’s acquisition of Stitcher, a deal valued at up to $325 million, included retaining the Stitcher Studios and Earwolf networks while shutting down the Stitcher app and web-streaming site. Other podcast ventures under SiriusXM’s umbrella include Ashley Flowers’ Audiochuck, known for its *Crime Junkie* show, and Crooked Media, which produces *Pod Save America*.
From July 2021 to January 2024, full episodes of *Call Her Daddy* were available exclusively on Spotify under the previous deal. Since January, the audio-only version of the show has been accessible on various audio platforms, although Spotify maintains exclusive rights to the podcast’s video content.

Cooper, who co-founded the media company Trending and its subsidiary Unwell Audio Network with her husband and business partner Matt Kaplan of Ace Entertainment, aims to “elevate the voices and stories of Gen Z” through her ventures. The Unwell Network’s initial roster includes influencers and personalities such as Alix Earle, Madeline Argy, Harry Jowsey, and Owen Thiele.
Represented by UTA, Cooper is touted by Spotify as “the most listened-to female podcaster in the world.” Recent guests on *Call Her Daddy* have included high-profile figures such as Jane Fonda, Post Malone, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Hailey Bieber, among others.
Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM’s president and chief content officer, praised Cooper’s approach, stating, “Alex’s fearless, unfiltered approach, where no topic is off the table, has created a passionate and dedicated fanbase that is unmatched in podcasting and perfectly aligns with the content that SiriusXM subscribers have come to love and expect from us.”
The new deal underscores SiriusXM’s continued investment in expanding its podcast offerings and capitalizing on the growing popularity of digital audio content.
