Global superstar Dua Lipa is releasing another song for her upcoming album titled ‘Training Season’ as she confirmed online.

As previously reported by What’s Trending, the singer was seen teasing the phrase in Grammy rehearsals sporting a crew neck donning the title of the track.

The song, produced by Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, is coming just days before she is slated to perform at the GRAMMYs. It has not been confirmed what she will be performing on the awards show.

“Training Season” will drop on February 15 at 6:00 PM ET.

Last year, the “Levitating” songstress released the single “Houdini” – the first single introducing the new chapter following the smash sophomore album Future Nostalgia.

The upcoming album reportedly “embodies that 4 a.m. feeling when the night is coming to a close and you’re a bit sweaty, but you just don’t want the party to end.”

Future Nostalgia is certified platinum in the US and UK, was the longest running top 10 album by a female artist on the Billboard 200 in 2021, and has spawned multiple worldwide hit singles, with “Levitating” earning certified diamond status and the title of Billboard’s No. 1 Hot 100 Song of 2021. In addition to breaking solo records, Dua proved to be a formidable collaborator, with Elton John’s “Cold Heart (PNAU Remix)” landing them the honor of Variety’s 2022 Hitmakers of the Year.

The star has been teasing DL3 on numerous carpets and events, to which she ‘can’t be explained.’

With her first single, Dua previously announced that she was hosting three “surprise launch” events in London, Los Angeles, and Tokyo to celebrate.

“I’m putting on three surprise launch events for Houdini in London, Los Angeles and Tokyo,” the singer wrote on Instagram. “The first one’s going to be in my hometown, London, this Thursday!!! I’m going to be inviting down some of my fans from the UK and around Europe, so keep your eyes peeled.”

Fans are eagerly keeping their eyes peeled for any surprises up till this single.

While the album does not have a confirmed name, Dua has an idea in mind. “It has a vision. It has a name—for now,” she told WSJ. Magazine. Judging by her kaleidoscopic artwork, visuals, and rumored themes leading up to the formal announcement, it might be something on the trippy side.

In an interview with T Magazine, Dua said that the album will be “more personal” than her previous. When speaking with Vogue, the star added that “I’ve definitely grown up. Overall, whether it’s sonically or in terms of the themes, I’ve matured. It’s like I’m coming into my power and not afraid to talk about things. It’s about understanding what I want.”

There have also been rumors that she’s been busy in the studio with PC Music alum Danny L. Harle. Among other things, he’s a frequent collaborator of Caroline Polachek, who opened for Lipa on the U.S. leg of her Future Nostalgia tour.

“The album is different—it’s still pop, but it’s different sonically, and there’s more of a lyrical theme,” Dua explained, adding still that it will not “alienate” her fanbase.

In a 2021 interview with Variety, the president of Warner Records, Joe Kentish, said that the album would be “something completely different and at scale.”

Dua’s website also prompts fans to sign up for for “happiness, passion, love, joy, optimism, energy,” and “fun.”
