The birth comes less than a year after the couple wed. Steinfeld married Allen last May and is coming off a year in which she earned widespread acclaim for her role in the film “Sinners.”
Steinfeld was absent from the 2026 Academy Awards ceremony on March 15, where the film was celebrated. Her co-star Michael B. Jordan acknowledged her absence during his best actor acceptance speech, telling the audience, “Hailee at home, she’s getting ready to have the baby right now.”
Allen, the 2024 NFL MVP, has been recovering from surgery after Buffalo’s overtime loss to Denver in the AFC divisional playoffs and is expected to be ready when the Bills begin their offseason program.
