“In 2022, I was first diagnosed with Lupus SLE and then a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder. Both of which are currently being managed or in remission; and both of which I will likely have for the duration of my life,” Halsey continued.
Lupus is an autoimmune disease where the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissues instead of harmful pathogens, leading to inflammation affecting various organs and tissues. While there is no cure, treatment aims to manage symptoms.
Lymphoproliferative disorders encompass diseases characterized by the uncontrolled production of white blood cells, including lymphocytes. T-cell disorders within this group include leukemia and lymphoma.
