Johnny Depp was on stage to present Mike Myers with the Hollywood Documentary Award for his film Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon, about the Hollywood agent and talent manager.
It was clear from the moment he stepped on stage that something was up, or down, or spinning, with Depp. He analyzed the weirdness of the microphone, said “I’m not really good at this kind of thing,” and slurred his way through the prepared statements on the teleprompter.
