Brazilian pop sensation Anitta has announced she will no longer be performing at the 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, citing “unexpected personal reasons” for her decision. The 31-year-old singer, known for hits like “Envolver” and “Vai Malandra,” was set to take the stage on April 12 and 19, during the weekends headlined by Green Day.

In a statement shared on social media, Anitta expressed her disappointment, stating, “I was really looking forward to being at Coachella this year, but due to unexpected personal reasons, I won’t be able to perform. I’m truly grateful to the festival for the invitation, their understanding, and continued support.” She also added, “I hope to have the opportunity to join you all in the future and share that special moment together.”

This would have been Anitta’s third appearance at the festival. She first performed at Coachella in 2022, where her energetic set featured guest appearances from Saweetie and Snoop Dogg. In 2024, she returned as a special guest during Peso Pluma’s performance, joining him for their collaboration “Bellakeo.”

Fans reacted with a mix of sadness and support, with many acknowledging how much Anitta values her live performances. One fan wrote, “We are so sad about it, but we understand how committed you are with your concerts and how much it takes for making this decision.”

Coachella 2025, taking place over two weekends in April, will feature a star-studded lineup, including headliners Lady Gaga, Green Day, and Post Malone. Lady Gaga will return for her second headlining appearance, having previously headlined in 2017, while Green Day will be making their debut at the festival. Post Malone, also a returnee, will headline for the second time.

The festival continues to draw massive crowds and social media influencers from around the world, cementing its status as a major cultural event.
