Pop star Britney Spears is allegedly heading for divorce from her husband Sam Asghari. Asghari, a model, personal trainer, and actor, is allegedly attempting to blackmail the singer into renegotiating their prenuptial agreement with threats to release “embarrassing” personal information about her. The allegations of a prenup battle and split were first reported by Page Six.

The couple married in June 2022, months after the singer was reportedly released from her decades long restrictive conservatorship. Spears was placed in the arrangement by her parents following a manic episode that led to her bipolar disorder diagnosis shortly after. Spears alleged that she was forced to perform, maintain an IUD as a form of birth control, and had restricted access to her two sons, who she shares with ex husband Kevin Federline.
