“The Jungle Book” Teaser Trailer is Here
Disney’s “LIVE-ACTION REMAKE ALL THE THINGS” craze has caught up to “The Jungle Book” – and I’m rolling my eyes a bit, but it actually might be pretty good if the diverse, stellar cast and amazing CGI are any indication.
As you probably know, the original “Jungle Book” is a cartoon based on stories by Rudyard Kipling, about a little boy who was raised in the jungle by wolves. In the April 2016 version, newcomer Neel Sethi plays Mowgli, and the star-studded cast of jungle creatures is a veritable lineup of the internet’s favorite celebrities – Lupita Nyong’o as mother wolf Raksha, Ben Kingsley as the panther Bagheera, Bill Murray as Baloo the Bear, Idris Elba as Shere Khan the tiger, Scarlett Johansson as the evil python Kaa, and Christopher Walken as King Louie.
The film’s mood seems to be darker, more dangerous, and generally a lot less goofy than the “Jungle Book” I remember:
