We “Wonder” other plans he has

Shawn Mendes announced his music collaboration with Justin Bieber for the song “Monster.” The new single is part of Mendes’ upcoming album Wonder. The duo will be releasing the collab on November, 20th.

Both Mendes and Bieber shared the collab news on Twitter on Monday, teasing fans with a short clip only revealing the title of the song and the release date.

“#MONSTER,” Mendes captioned his post tagging Bieber. “Next single from #WONDER.”

Bieber posted as well.

Mendes had previously teased fans about the song when he posted his albums tracklist on Twitter. It seems that the list was handwritten by Mendes in cursive. Mendes included in parentheses (Shawn Mendes & _______) at the bottom of the song “Monster.” He had fans “wonder” who would be the unannounced artist collaborating with him. Mendes’ Wonder album will be released on December 4th. As fans wait for the release they can pre-order and pre-save his album.

Surprisingly, one fan actually assumed it was Justin Bieber who would be collaborating with Mendes’.

Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber’s Trolling

Back in 2015 Bieber interviewed with New York’s 95.5 PLJ, host Ralphie Aversa compared Bieber to Shawn Mendes and Biebers response was epic. Bieber had a confused faced at this moment.

“Who’s Shawn Mendes?” Bieber responded.

“Oh!” Aversa replied. “He’s on Island. He’s from southern Ontario. He’s 17 years old. He’s got a song called ‘Stitches’ that’s, like, doing OK at pop radio.”

“Nice. Nice. Good for him,” Bieber said.

It is safe to say the Bieber now knows who is Shawn Mendes. Bieber brought that memory back on Twitter and Mendes gave us a throwback photo of the two of them together.

While some weren’t amused by Mendes’  photo others were. They even brought back a special photo of the both of them.

Now there you go. We now have a photo them both together.

Fans were also commenting about something the two artist have in common… Hailey Baldwin now known as Hailey Bieber! Mendes’ and Hailey dated for a few months on 2017 and ended things on 2018. Hailey and Justin Bieber began dating again in 2018 and are married after breaking up in 2016.

Aside from what they have in common, Mendes didn’t deny his collab with Bieber. In October Mendes interviewed on Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp radio show.

Host Kemp started a game called “I ‘wonder’ if it’s true.” Kemp asked “I wonder if it’s true, Shawn, that you turned down a collaboration with Justin Bieber last month?”

“Is this you trying to get me to confirm that I have a collaboration with Justin Bieber?” Mendes asked. “If I turned one down, that would be insane, considering he’s been one of my favorite artists since I was like 9-years-old.”

Shawn Mendes: In Wonder

Mendes is up to many things. Not to mention his documentary film will be streaming on November 23. The film is directed by Grant Singer who also directed music videos for Sam Smith, The Weeknd, and Lorde. In addition, Ben Winston is the producer of the film. Mendes’ manager Andrew Gertler is joining as executive producers. Therefore, this works out perfectly since he’s knows much about Mendes’ private life.

The film documents all of Mendes’ life and how he became famous which was from Vine were he gained fame. Mendes will take his fans back to his previous star life back in Ontario, Canada. Netflix’ description is: “Over the course of a world tour, this unguarded documentary follows Shawn Mendes as he opens up about his stardom, relationships and musical future. The trailer shows Mendes’ preparing in an empty bathroom for his concerts.

“This isn’t a story about a famous musician, this is a story about a guy growing up,” Mendes narrates.

Home videos of his childhood are included in his documentary. It shows everything that Mendes has gone through. His girlfriend Camia Cabello makes an appearance in the film. “My song comes on the radio or something, everything is about you. They’ve always been about you,” Mendes says about Cabello.
